Short answer
Yes, LitBuy is a real shopping agent, not a scam. It is also a young company with trust problems you should know about.
LitBuy buys, photographs and ships as promised, and the readers of this site have opened thousands of accounts through it since 2025. But the operating company was only registered in October 2025, Trustpilot has suspended its rating after removing fake reviews, 16 % of the last 587 reviews are one star, and the loudest Reddit threads are about shipping that was re-billed after the estimate and a customs refusal. Use it the way you would use any agent: a small first order, PayPal or a card, a proper look at the QC photos, insurance on anything you would mind losing.
Official channels: litbuy.com, Discord (about 183,000 members), r/LitBuy_Community, iOS app, Android app.
Three entities appear on litbuy.com: LITBUY LIMITED (UK) and DragonBridge Trading inc (Wyoming, US) in the footer, and Hong Kong Haini Technology Limited in the registration agreement; the latter also publishes the app.
Fees are stated two ways. The site advertises "0 % markup" and a free agent service, with a customs-declaration charge of about ¥10 per parcel; the registration agreement in the help center reserves a platform service fee of 8 % on goods and 8 % on shipping. Read the order summary before you pay, and treat the agreement as the binding version.
LitBuy is a shopping agent. You paste a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 link, LitBuy buys the item from the Chinese seller with its own account, receives it in its warehouse, photographs it, and ships it to you when you say so. It is not a store: it holds no stock and does not choose what the seller sends.
That split matters for the “legit” question. The agent is responsible for buying what you asked for, for the QC photos, for keeping your items safe in storage and for handing the parcel to the shipping line. The seller is responsible for the item itself. Customs in your country decides what the parcel costs on arrival. Most bad experiences with any agent happen at the second and third step, not the first.
So “is LitBuy legit” really means: does it do the agent part reliably, and what happens when something goes wrong. That is what the rest of this page looks at.
Trustpilot shows no TrustScore for litbuy.com. The profile carries a notice that the rating is unavailable because of a breach of Trustpilot’s guidelines, and a second notice that a number of fake reviews were removed.

r/FashionReps · 24 Mar 2026, about 116 upvotes and 120+ comments; the first Google result for “is litbuy legit”
Seven light items were quoted a 16 kg rehearsal weight, plus complaints about extra fees and slow support. The replies are split: one commenter had ordered since January without issues, another called it an estimated-weight glitch. The thread is about billing, not about money disappearing.

A $1,000 haul whose parcel was declared at the wrong weight and then refused by customs via UPS Hong Kong. The top reply (158 upvotes) says sending a haul that size through a new, influencer-sponsored agent was the mistake; another says LitBuy is pushed by creators who lost their CNFans deals.

Run by LitBuy staff: coupon codes, event announcements and the membership-system launch. Useful for current promotions, not for independent opinions.
You prepay shipping on an estimated weight. LitBuy then settles the difference against the actual weight or the volumetric weight, whichever is greater. That is standard for agents, but it produces the surprise bills behind the biggest Reddit thread and several September 2026 Trustpilot reviews.
How to avoid it: Pay ¥20 for a rehearsal parcel before you choose a line: LitBuy packs the items, weighs and measures them, and quotes on real numbers. Squash boxes and skip shoe boxes where you can; volumetric weight is what bites.

LitBuy’s policy puts customs risk on you: taxes, fines and returned parcels are the buyer’s problem. The March 2026 Reddit case was a $1,000 parcel declared at the wrong weight and refused on arrival.
How to avoid it: Declare the real value, use the customs calculator for your country before you release the parcel, and keep first orders small. Do not ship goods that infringe a trademark: customs can seize them and nobody refunds a seized parcel.

Recent Trustpilot reviews describe a shipping surcharge that appeared after the quote and a 40 % coupon that excluded part of the bill without saying so up front. One shipping coupon can be used per parcel, and coupons cannot be moved or extended.
How to avoid it: Read the payment screen line by line before you confirm: line, weight, surcharges, coupon applied, total. If the coupon does not cover what you expected, ask support before paying, not after.
Slow answers come up on Trustpilot, in the App Store and on Reddit. Refunds go back only to the original payment method, and opening a chargeback with your bank or PayPal locks the LitBuy account, which freezes any orders, parcels and refunds still inside it.
How to avoid it: Use the ticket system and keep screenshots of every quote and chat. Only charge back once you have given up on the account, and never while items are still in the warehouse.

This is the trust problem that matters most. Trustpilot removed a number of fake reviews for litbuy.com and suspended the rating. The 75 % five-star share you still see on the profile should be read with that in mind; the 16 % one-star share is the more informative number.
How to avoid it: Read the one-star reviews and the Reddit threads before your first order, and judge LitBuy on how it handles a problem, not on the star count.

You pay LitBuy, never the seller
Payment happens inside your account (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, PayPal (Amex and JCB through PayPal), PayPal eCheck). Use PayPal or a card for a chargeback route, and never pay a person who contacts you.
QC photos before anything ships
LitBuy takes 3 to 6 free photos of every item (front, back, side or logo) after it arrives from the seller and checks quantity, colour and size; electronics are checked for appearance only. Extra photos cost ¥1 each. You see the actual item before you pay for international shipping.
Storage while you decide
90 days free, 120 days maximum. Collect several items and ship one parcel instead of many; after day 90 storage is charged per item and day.
Shipping insurance
Loss or damage is compensated to your LitBuy balance under LitBuy’s own scale, if you claim within 7 days of delivery or 45 days of shipment. Nothing is paid for delays.
Returns before shipping
Return or exchange within 5 days of the item reaching the warehouse, case by case, with one free return within 30 days. Refunds go back to the original payment method only.

accounts created with our invite code since 2025
566
of them listed as active customers in LitBuy’s invite center
These are LitBuy’s own counts from our invite-center dashboard on 28 Sep 2026. They are the reason we can say something about LitBuy beyond one person’s orders: several hundred readers have gone from sign-up to shipped parcel through this site, and we hear about it when something goes wrong. Miki has ordered through shopping agents since 2022 and writes the guides here from those orders.
Disclosure: LitBuy pays us a commission on the shipping of accounts created through our code. It does not pay for this page, and the complaints section is not shorter because of it.

The address is not litbuy.com
LitBuy runs on litbuy.com and its app. Lookalike domains, Telegram "agents" and sellers who ask you to pay them directly are not LitBuy, whatever logo they use. This site is not LitBuy either; our Buy links only open litbuy.com product pages.
Someone asks for payment outside the platform
You only ever pay inside your LitBuy account: once for the item, later for the shipping. A "customer service" account on Discord or WhatsApp asking for a transfer, gift card or crypto to release a parcel is a scam.
A spreadsheet wants your card details
A find list is a list of links. It never needs your password, card number or a deposit. Sign-up happens on litbuy.com; the only thing a legitimate spreadsheet passes on is an invite code.
A coupon that beats LitBuy’s own banner
LitBuy publishes its new-account offers on its site. A "70% off code" that LitBuy has never announced exists to collect clicks, and sometimes to collect logins.
Ordering from Chinese marketplaces through an agent is legal. What is not free is importing: since 1 July 2026 the EU charges duty on small parcels that used to be exempt, the US ended its de minimis exemption in 2025, and VAT or sales tax applies almost everywhere. The parcel is your import, so the bill is yours; budget for it with the customs calculator and declare the real value.
Goods that infringe a trademark are a separate matter. Customs can seize them, and neither the seller nor the agent refunds a seized parcel. LitBuy’s own anti-counterfeiting policy bans such purchases and puts the responsibility on the buyer; it does not vet listings for you. Our guide on avoiding counterfeits explains what to look for in a listing.
Start with one cheap item to learn the timeline: seller to warehouse, QC photos, shipping quote, delivery.
Pay with a method that has buyer protection (PayPal or a credit card) rather than a bank transfer.
Look at the QC photos properly. Zoom in, compare with the listing, measure against the size chart. Refuse or return before you ship, not after.
Declare honestly and check the import charges for your country before you release the parcel; use the customs calculator.
Add shipping insurance on anything you would mind losing, and keep every screenshot until the parcel is in your hands.
LitBuy is a real shopping agent, not a scam: it buys from Taobao, Weidian and 1688 for you, photographs the item in its warehouse and ships it abroad, and the companies behind it are registered in the UK, Hong Kong and the US. Trustpilot has suspended LitBuy's rating after removing fake reviews; of the 587 reviews in the last 12 months, 75 % are five-star and 16 % one-star (read 28 Sep 2026). 3,234 readers of this site have created accounts through our invite code since 2025, and 566 of them are listed as active customers in LitBuy's invite center. The risks are the usual agent risks, plus a young company's growing pains: shipping re-billed after the estimate, customs bills, slow support.
You pay inside your LitBuy account, never to a seller or to a person. Use PayPal or a credit card so that you have a chargeback route, and never pay anyone who contacts you on Discord, Telegram or WhatsApp claiming to be LitBuy support. All payments happen on litbuy.com or in the LitBuy app.
The QC photos and the return window. LitBuy takes 3 to 6 free photos of every item after it arrives from the seller and before it ships to you. If the photos show the wrong item, a defect or the wrong size, you can request a return or exchange within 5 days of arrival, while the item is still in China. After international shipping, returns are rarely worth it, so the QC step is where you decide. Loss or damage in transit is compensated to your LitBuy balance if you claim within 7 days of delivery.
LitBuy is not a store and does not sell anything itself. It buys whatever listing you paste from a Chinese marketplace, so what arrives is what the seller sells. Its anti-counterfeiting policy (updated July 2026) bans counterfeit and replica purchases and puts the responsibility on the buyer. Goods that infringe a trademark can be seized by customs in your country without a refund; that risk sits with you, not with the agent.
The complaints that come up in reviews and on Reddit are about money and speed rather than fraud: shipping that was re-billed after the estimated weight, surcharges and coupon exclusions at the shipping step, customs refusals, slow support and one-way refunds, and delays during the August 2026 typhoon. The complaints section above lists each one with its source and how to avoid it.
No. LitBuy Spreadsheet is an independent, community-run find list. We are not operated by LitBuy and do not handle orders or payments. Our Buy and sign-up links carry our invite code, so LitBuy pays us a commission on shipping when you order through them; you pay nothing extra. That is also why we have the numbers above.
